Hello Parents and Students,   With the current Pandemic and the cancellation of classes, an average of five hours per week of at home learning opportunities, as directed by Alberta Education ( https://www.alberta.ca/student-learning-during-covid-19.aspx ) will now be accessible using Google Classroom. Please refer to the School Messenger emails from April 2 and April 3 for all the details and log in information that you will need. The blog will not be updated after today. Students were asked to give feedback on the activity detailing what they liked, what they didn't like and some suggestions for the next activity.   After recess, we worked on our math test and then we worked on IRIS expectations. Students uploaded some artefacts. We cleaned up and then had Dance Creations with Ayjay.  Discussion led by: O.M.

Students returned their books and we went to the library to get new ones. Students are reminded to take extra care of their books while taking them to and from school.  After recess, we worked on our math test and then we had physical education outside. This afternoon, we began our presentations in Science. Students began to show their work on their Rube Goldberg projects with their peers. They spoke to us about our upcoming waste and recycling unit in Science. Students learned about composting and the importance of worms to our environment.  After recess, we worked on our math test and then students had dance with Ajay.  This afternoon, we had a lesson in English Language Arts. Students recorded videos for IRIS and then we created a list of questions for tomorrow's Grade 4 activity called Fast Facts. Finally, we had music with Mme. Edgett.  Discussion led by: Z.W.

Students worked on a poem in groups and presented their work to their peers.  After recess, we had a presentation from Calgary Opera. Students enjoyed a 40 minute presentation from the group who had incredible costumes and theatrics. Then, we had a lesson in Mathematics. Students continued to work on a math activity developing their addition and subtraction strategies for 4-5 digit numbers.  This afternoon, we had a lesson in English Language Arts.
