Happy Break! Student Blog Post: This morning, students met in their book club groups to read aloud their texts. We did some research in our Social Studies books and some students used online resources.  After recess, we worked on a new Visual Arts project. Students worked on aspects of perspective to create a winter scene in the forest. We had Mme. Pelleau come visit our class as a special visiter. Then, we had physical education with M. Trevor and Paralympian John Leslie who gave us tips and tricks for our upcoming day at COP.  This afternoon, we finished up our art projects and then we watched a bit of a movie. Students then worked on their Social Studies research project. They worked in groups to gather information.  After recess, we had physical education and then we worked on our Google Slide projects. Afterwards, students worked on their Social Studies research projects.  After recess, students continued to work on their slide show for their research project adding information that they have researched on to their Google Slide account. This afternoon, we worked on our math project. Students continued to work on their geometry city. Then, we worked on a visual arts project. Afterwards, students had free time catch up on work and clean up their belongings. Finally, students worked in groups to complete the blogger

Then, we had reading buddies with Mme. McCann's Grade 1 class. We helped them upload artefacts to their IRIS page. After, some students continued to help Mme. Emily's Grade 1 class and others had catch up time in class. Finally, students went to their Choice and Curiosity program classes and worked on a number of different literacy activities. Student Blog Post: This morning, we completed our daily routine and we had a grammar lesson on capital letters. Students continued to present their good copy of their book report.  After recess, we had a lesson in Mathematics. Students learned about reading time, calendar and writing the date in a number of different ways. Then, we had a lesson outside for Health. This afternoon, we worked on our Social Studies research projects. Students presented their region that they worked on in groups. Students are encouraged to think abo
