Students were divided into their Daily 3 groups.  After recess, we had a lesson in mathematics and then we had library period with Mme. N. This afternoon, we had a presentation from Social Studies. Students worked on various games and worked on some number talks in their designated groups. Then we ate snack and headed out for recess. After recess, we had a few presentations for Social Studies and then we had physical education with M. Trevor. Student Blog Post: This morning, we worked on our French refection and then we had a lesson on "Les determinants". Students identified objects around the classroom and tried to find their pronouns. After recess, we had physical education and then we had a few students present their Social Studies presentations.  This afternoon, we read Judy Blume's Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, we had a lesson in Mathematics and then we worked on our Health Poster. Students continued to work on their final presentation using Google Slides.  After recess, we had physical education where students worked on their gymnastics skills. Then, we had a lesson in Mathematics on number sense.  This afternoon, we had a lesson in French Language Arts. Then, we took a walking break around the school. Afterwards, we responded to community questions on our bulletin boards in the main hall. Finally, we had a lesson in Science on Simple Machines. Student Blog Post: This morning, we did our daily routine and we worked on our Citizenship, Character and Personal Development skits. Then, we worked on our French reflection for the month of January.   After recess, students worked on their Social Studies research project, finishing up their final details in preparation for presentations next week.  This afternoon, we had a lesson in Health. We had quite a few body breaks throughout the afternoon. Then, we had a lesson in English Language Arts. Afterwards, we continued on with our novel study. Then, we had a meditation break in the Zen Room. Finally, we worked on our visual arts portrait project.

Student Blog Post: This morning, we worked on our new character, citizenship and personal development skits to show our understanding of those three stems. Students have been working on these areas in various capacities for a number of months now. Then, we began our portrait unit in Visual Arts. Students learned new techniques and skills in art.  After recess, we had a lesson in Social Studies. Students continued to work with our text. Then, we had a debate in English Language Arts and began our new unit on Numbers in Mathematics. Finally, we had learning buddies with Mme. McCann's class.  Discussion led by: L.K.

Student Blog Post: This morning, we did our daily routine and then we discussed resolutions for the New Year. Students will be revisiting their academic goals for the year in hopes to help with self assessment activities in the upcoming weeks.  After recess, we had a lesson in Social Studies. Students then continued to work on their research project. The first half of the period, students worked on their research aspect in groups and then individually worked on their slide shows on their Google account.  This afternoon, we had a Health lesson and then we began our new unit in Science. We had a mini lesson on Simple Machines and then we watched a video. Then, students worked on their January reflections. Afterwards, we read Wonder aloud as a class.  Discussion led by: S.S.
