Students were asked to work on a reflection outlining writing concepts taught in the first month of school. We will begin our Daily 5 program tomorrow where students will rotate through each centre during our literacy block.  After recess, we worked on our Book Report example. Then, we ate snack and practiced Daily 5 Listening Centre. Students were asked to write notes from the story that we were listening to in class. Afterwards, we worked on our math and visual arts project. Students made cross curricular connections between a number of subjects. Finally, we reviewed homework expectations and filled out our homework calendar.

Bringing sounds together with the titles of our books we are reading. After recess, we had math period. In math, we had a lesson and an activity on symmetry. We looked around the classroom for things that are symmetrical. Then, we had physical education with M. Trevor to prepare us for the Terry Fox Run on Friday.
